Participative proposition: Construction game / WiiFit hijack
In the installation Twiist, players reproduce images of aesthetic archetypes using body movements while standing on a « Wii Unbalanced-Board ». Twiist is based on the Wiifit game which allows players to improve their physical features and to acquire good posture. Here, Twiist asks players to adopt an unbalanced position to win.
In this version, Twiist asks each player to create his or her own autographed photo of Elizabeth Taylor. This photograph is constructed via the « exquisite corpse » game, using portraits from emblematic periods of Liz Taylor’s life.

The game « Twiist : The exquisite Liz Taylor » is a construction game that asks players to use their body as a controller. The player has to control his or her equilibrium by distributing weight on the various sensors. The player therein becomes aware of his or her own body. While playing, pictures of Liz Taylor unfold on the screen. She is an emblematic actress, perfectly illustrating the notion of physical decline linked to ageing.
