Europe’s first Bachelor's programme for mobile and digital content launched at the Zurich University of the Arts Short stories for the small screen: „Cast“ started Zurich (ots) – „Cast“ started: On September 17th, Europe’s first Bachelor’s programme focussing on content production for the new digital media was launched at a University of the Arts. The new Bachelor’s programme „Cast“ at the Zurich University of the Arts qualifies Students exclusively for the creative and designing fields of work in online media, webradio, on Web2.0-platforms and mobile TV. „The new forms of communication in our society and their usage regarding digital and mobile media are a vast field – not only for marketing and technology, but also for the applied arts. Cast-alumni shall shape the new media worlds’ identities.“ says Prof. Dr. Jacqueline Otten, Head of the Departement of Design, that includes the innovative Bachelor’s programme. The University appointed Austrian Dr. Martin Zimper to be Head of Studies of the new Bachelor’s programme „Cast“ in a multi-level procedure. Zimper has a PhD in Journalism and management experience in Radio- and TV-projects and he has tought at artistic and journalistic universities of applied sciences in Vienna and Salzburg so far. He also runs a media consulting company in Vienna. Zimper wants to educate Cast students to be story-tellers in the new digital worlds. „Short stories for the small screen“. I
