Bio

I m a 28 years old argentinian lawyer, nowadays working at the Department of Law of the University of Stockholm, Sweden, as a PhD student.. I have done my MBA of Law in Switzerland, specifically a MBA of Law in legal issues, criminality and security of new technologies, at the University of Laussane.
My project seeks to investigate the relationship existing between Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) and consumers’ privacy rights, in particular, if the widespread of RFID technology implies potential consumer’s privacy violations. These potential violations may touch several controversial privacy policy issues, such as goods tagging, profiling, anonymous tracking and targeted action, among others.
Therefore, RFID’s ability to locate and track people and things anywhere, anytime and in real-time creates the need of a legal investigation of the potential privacy threats that consumers may confront, and suggest the necessity of policy solutions to enhance their privacy rights. The aim of this project is to denote the necessity of a specific legal framework to regulate the use of the RFID technology in order to enhance consumer’s privacy rights. For that, the major points to be discuss, both from a technological and legal point of view are, firstly if RFID technology may entail to consumers privacy threats, secondly if different types of regulation that exists nowadays to limit their potential privacy violation and finally the necessity of a legal framework to regulate RFID uses.
Despite this, I really interested in the different debates related to privacy, social networks, not only for a legal point of view but as well socio and phylosophical, looking forward to being part of interesting debates.
