Switzerland PR & Communication manager Pharmaton / Boehringer-Ingelheim
Alexander Harbaugh was born in Newport News, United States of America in 1969. He began his studies in medicine and worked in psychiatry in Lausanne, then after working several years with drug addicts in Zurich, he pursued his academic career in communication sciences and IT.
He entered the communication field while working as assistant at the Executive Masters of Public Relations in Lugano (Switzerland) then entered a corporate career in Basel with Ciba where he focused on online media and financial, internal and media communication. He has also served as consultant in the area of communication in start-ups and two multinational companies.
Occupational health has been on his agenda for several years and he currently participates in nation-wide lobbying initiative. He is still active in Swiss Burnout which he co-founded and now works as Public Relations Manager in Pharmaton/Boehringer Ingelheim. Lives in Ticino.
