What can the future do for you?
Lift works to identify and anticipate current and emerging usagesof digital technologies through research, events, publications and services.
There are now more than 3000 pioneers linked together from around the world: bloggers, designers, entrepreneurs, thinkers, doers, performers, activists, technologists, story tellers, scientists, innovators, connectors, organizers, helpers, talkers, listeners, feelers, observers, explorers, builders, world changers, artists, visionaries, citizens, reporters, publishers, academics, workers, coaches, travellers, shapers, gurus, risk takers.
Some of you are actually pretty well known, even full blown celebrities. And you each have direct email contact with every one of them.
A few weeks before a conference, you fill-in your profile, look for interesting people to meet. The more courageous propose a talk or aworkshop.
And POW, 3 days of frenzied talks, coffee, art, discussions, meetings, exchanges, plan and projects, fondue and drinks.
And then another 362 days go by. Some contacts and projects bloom, but mostly… nothing.
The goal of the workshop is to explore what the Lift Community could be!
How can we leverage our great community? How can we communicate and collaborate? What will get people interested? What do we really want?
Do you believe in the Lift Community and do you want to participate?
Do you want to continue the Lift experience all year round?

Note for the purists
First, there is also a conference in Asia, so that's another 3 days. We are down to 359. Then, if you count that people start to get involved a month before the conference, that's another 30 days. Times two for Asia. We are down to 299 days!
So, what can we make of the Lift Community for the other 299 days?

Looking forward to discussing this subject and meeting you all!
Hi John,
I had the impression after the workshop there was still a lack of direction. At least in my head :-)
There definitely is interest in establishing an "online" platform from the community's side. I know there is also from the Lift conf. organisation side, especially with expansion in mind. I would be happy to further participate in discussions regardings this platform and can maybe also contribute in other ways.
Cheers, Christoph/f
