"In the 20th century, newspapers among other media formed and informed the masses. Then digitalisation made the news business tumble. As journalism always was more than the control programme of a democracy, the tremor of a digitalisation that revolutionised societies became apparent. It became clear, that the effect of digitalisation is as big as the effect of industrialisation, only that this time automatisation won’t affect the working class, but the skilled worker. So it is about time to travel back to London where in the autumn of 1847 Marx wrote the influential manifesto supported by Engels to put several things into perspective - for if journalism trembles there is more at stake than just an industry."
