Walk through the City and create a movie with your iPhone in realtime !

We think it's great that videos, pictures, tweets and other data can be geolocalized thus creating an 'augmented space'!  But we are left to wonder... how can we turn this abundance of information into a story?  Can we build a narrative with all this geolocalized information?  How can we make a visit to this augmented space a more coherent and enriching experience?

'Walking the Edit' http://walking-the-edit.net enables you to 'walk a movie' based on the shared audiovisual pieces that are virtually existing around us.  The concept is simple, you walk through a neighborhood, our i-phone app tracks your progress and translates your itinerary into a story drawing from the multitude of virtual information held in the 'augmented space'.  All this in realtime!

For a possibility to 'walk a movie', find us in the Lift Experience from Wednesday 2 February. Our WE app for iPhone will be freely available.  If you haven't got an iPhone, no problem, we can lend you one!

We are also holding a workshop on Friday morning that will focus on the concept, the editing engine specs, and the media management that was specially created for the project. Starting from Lifters' experiences during Lift11 and our technical expertise, workshop participants are invited to imagine other uses and scenarios for this concept.
