Lift works to identify and anticipate current and emerging usagesof digital technologies through research, events, publications and services.
It's hard now to find a tool or a technology that is not the result of a massively collaborative process with numerous individual contributors. It is certainly true for open source projects and software testing, but also for many business that rely more and more on crowd-sourcing.
The workshop's purpose is to highlight the best practices and typical legal issues that the governance of multiauthor collaboration may rise, in particular regarding intellectual property rights, liability issues and the required consents, assignments and partnerships that need to be put in place among the relevant communities and stakeholders.
