VJing – from software to public space

You need a conference ticket to sign up for this workshop.
If you already have a ticket, please log in.

Co-organized with: Ilan Katin

VJing is a verb. It is not tied to any particular genre or even a specific technology. The basic action is when a person manipulates materials that are broadcasted or projected, before an audience.

Due to a combination of recent technological advances that have increased access to the basic materials necessary for VJing, the medium has experienced significant expansion in recent years.

Ilan Katin and Manuel Schmalstieg will provide a brief history of the medium, show some samples of important works being created today, how these works are disseminated, and provide some speculation on the future of the medium and its implications.

Date and start time:
Wednesday, May 5, 2010 - 09:30
Room:
