Artistic interventions trigger social revolution

To help development of social activation, which leads to progress and eventually to better quality of life, we need to think of new ways to open minds of people. Where technology in general is counter productive for social bonding, with artistic interventions an new experience is offered. Out of the ordinary manifestations developed by artists will act as catalyser inducing new social processes to arise and grow.

To properly design these interventions we need anthropologists, social and psychological scientists, artists and experience designers to collaborate.
In this workshop the mix of participants skills and knowledge is leading to small groups who use brainmapping, scketching and tag-clouding to find a new focus that can be used for artistic interventions in cities and communities around the world.

The process is called Emerging Technology and Art Carousel, which in this workshop will be condensed to a two hour workshop. The steps taken in the workshop are:
• inspirational introduction
• identifying talent and forming of small groups
• creative interaction producing genius ideas
• sketching artistic interventions that trigger social activation

The results are published on a live Ning and opened up to public use.
