Katrin will be talking about how the proliferation of mobile phones has influenced how people participate in the politics of their countries. She will discuss the so-called 'twitter revolutions", how mobiles have helped (or not) in mobilization and elections, and she will dissect the many forms of political participation via the most ubiquitous communication device in human history in countries ranging from Ghana to Zimbabwe.
