KeyLemon is a software company which offers simple, fast and convenient computer access solutions, based on face and speech recognition, for all internet users with a webcam.

Nowadays, we are continuously interacting with computers and Internet. For that purpose, we have to create numerous personal accounts, and then remember and deal with many passwords. Besides the pain of forgetting passwords, and then pressing the “send me a new password” button, entering passwords many times is a tedious and time-wasting process. Moreover, what happen if you forget to lock your computer before leaving for a coffee?

To solve these problems, KeyLemon offers personal biometric authentication solutions based on face and speech recognition. From August 2008, two products will be proposed on our website: KeyLemon LockScreen and KeyLemon Login. The first product automatically locks your computer when you move away from it and unlock it, in less time than it would take to enter your password, when you come back in front of the camera. The second product is an authentication solution for multi-users Windows account login. Both products are based on face recognition. Two other products integrating speech recognition technology are designed for 2009.

Instead of most actors in biometrics, KeyLemon does not target high security. But, offers convenient computer access solutions to individual users. We believe that our fun and convenient-oriented products, our cheaper pricing strategy, and our strategic contact with the early adopters community will give us a significant advantage to capture a large market share in biometric authentication solutions for individual users. Moreover, KeyLemon has a strategic partnership with the IDIAP Research Institute which continuously provides state-of-the-art face and speech recognition technologies.

A prototype of KeyLemon LockScreen is freely available on our website and has been downloaded about 300’000 times in less than one year without doing marketing effort. With appropriate marketing, we expect to increase this value to 1 million free downloads by the end of the year.
